We’ve lived through every stage of this business, including when the bills for bandwidth, streaming, licensing and servers started piling up. That’s why we built the station-management side underneath you. But the bigger piece is syndication. Your live DJs and original shows don’t have to stop at your state line. We carry them into other U-Rock® markets, build regional and network programming around them, and give you programming from across the network in return. Together we give independent artists airplay, discovery and a real way up, from local to regional to national. We’re looking for like-minded operators, not people we need to teach how to do radio.

An orderly transition if you retire or relocate. U-Rock® has the first opportunity to repurchase the license, or you can propose a qualified replacement operator. Any transfer needs network approval.

May receive founder recognition, priority territories, reduced operating costs, early access to new technology, input into network development, and legacy pricing where applicable.

Straight Answers
What does it cost?
A one-time setup of $995, or four payments of about $249. There is no monthly affiliate fee.
How is revenue split?
70% of applicable affiliate revenue goes to you, 30% to U-Rock® Network. The details of what counts as applicable revenue and how payouts run are in the prospect packet you receive after applying.
Do I need radio experience?
Experienced broadcasters, music promoters, content creators, salespeople, venue and business owners, community leaders, musicians — or simply someone passionate about your local music scene — are welcome to apply.
What territory do I get?
An approved geographic territory — city, metro, region, state/province, or country — depending on the agreement.
What happens if I want out?
An orderly transition: U-Rock® has the first opportunity to repurchase the license, or you can propose a qualified replacement operator, with network approval.
How do I make money?
Local advertising, regional sponsorships, network advertising participation, artist promotions, event coverage, business partnerships, community promotions, and premium services through the U-Rock® ecosystem. Success depends on the effort invested by each affiliate.
